Clinical Coding Speciality Lead

CLINICAL CODING SPECIALITY LEAD - Band 6 - Full time - 37.5 hours

£37,162 - £44,620 PLUS RRP 15%

Flexible work times.

An exciting position has arisen within an NHS Trusts' clinical coding department to join their coding team. As part of the coding team you will be able to spread your time between the office and home in this hybrid role, allowing flexible working times for a healthy work/life balance.

You will be responsible for the day to day organisation of the clinical coding team.

ESSENTIAL

  • Nationally Accredited Clinical Coder Qualification (ACC)

  • Extensive knowledge and use of the practical clinical coding using ICD and OPCS Classification of Surgical Operations and Procedures, including knowledge of the correct application of the rules and conventions.

  • Experience in training and mentoring clinical coders to a high level

  • A detailed understanding of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology
