Senior Occupational Therapist

Occupational Therapist

Permanent role based in York
Salary: up to £36,500 per annum based on experience

Our well established client are looking for a Senior Occupational Therapist to join their team on a permanent basis. 

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Support the lead OT in co-ordinating the implementation of individual treatment plans for occupational therapy services ensuring treatments, activities and interventions are delivered through effective application and communication.  
  • Receive and respond promptly to referrals undertaking patient assessments to identify and prioritise patient needs before planning and delivering the appropriate and relevant interventions either on an individual or group basis.
  • Maintain effective communication links with patients, relatives, carers, and purchasers throughout the patient’s journey. 
  • Be a source of knowledge and expertise regarding Occupational Therapy Services, relatives and colleagues of all disciplines.
  • Support the lead OT in the allocation and prioritisation of workload for all OT staff in the team, to ensure that resources are matched efficiently and effectively to client needs.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • HCPC registered
  • A member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapist (RCOT)
  • Occupational Therapy degree
